When on the blog page, scroll down the right margin to find "Contribute".
Clic on "Login":

Enter your Login and Password:

You reach the Dashboard that will allow you to add content to the blog. According to your administrations rights, you’ll find different option on the top menu such as “Write” and “Manage” posts, add “Links” and “Users”, “Upload” images… See specific sections of teh FAQ to learn how to perform these actions…

Upside the menu, (View site>>) allow you to get back to the blog page…

When on the blog page, scroll down the right margin to find “Contribute”.

Clic on “Login”.

Enter your Login and Password.

You reach the Dashboard that will allow you to add content to the blog.

Posts are articles that will appear in a chronological order at the date when you post them: the more recent, the first.

Login to see the Dashboard and choose “Write” option on the menu.
Write the title of your post in the Title box and the text of your post in the Post box.
Use the “Quicktags” before and after your text to put it in bold (/str) or in oblique (/em).

Use also the “Quicktags” to had a link to another website or to another Post on the SEP platform.

Clic on “Publish” to publish your Post.
To view your Post, you may clic on “(View site”) above in the title bar…

Notes:
- you may also “Save as Draft” your new Post and edit it later using the “Manage” menu;
- you may also “Save as Private” your new post to save the content without publishing it;
- you can also “Write pages” using the sub-menu. Pages are also articles but not organised in a chronological order. They can be accessed through the menu “Page” in the right margin of your blog.

Before uploading an image, you must make sure that:
- the image is not larger than 500 pixels;
- saved in .jpg, .gif or .png format;
- with name structured as xxx_picturename.jpg (when your blog adress is www.sustainable-everyday.net/xxx)
- less than 200 Kb

Login to see the Dashboard and choose “Upload” option on the menu.
Use the button in the “File:” box to browse your directories and select the image.
Write a short description of your image in the “Description:” box that will appear at the mouse rollover on the image
Clic on the “Upload File” button.

Copy the address of the image and you just uploaded…

…and paste it in the text of the Post where you want the image to appear.

Clic on “Publish” to publish your Post.
To view your Post, you may clic on “(View site”) above in the title bar…

- with name structured as xxx_picturename.jpg

STEPS :

Use “upload” tab below the “Post” box in the dashboard;
1. “file: browse” to find the picture in your computer; then click open,
2. click on upload.

3. to insert your image in your text:
-go to the browse all tab
-click on the image you want to upload

-choose “Using Original” and not “Using Thumbnail” by clicking on the otpion (it will change) (1)

-put the cursor in the place that you want to insert the picture.
-clic on “Send to editor” (2)
-”save” when finished.

Clic on “Publish” to publish your Post.

To view your Post, you may clic on “(View site”) above in the title bar…

Login to see the Dashboard and choose “Manage” option on the menu and “Categories” in the sub-menu.
You may edit existing Categories using the “Edit” action in the Categories box.

You may add new Categories using the Add New Category box.
Fill the Category name in the Name box.
Add eventual Category description in the Description box.

Clic on the “Add Category” button below to save your new Category.

You may create as many Categories as you want and propose different classifications of your Post…

In the example above, the new Post is both a Draft Cases… AND a Post from Group 2…

You may use the Categories menu in the right margin of your blog to select related Posts…

Login to see the Dashboard and choose “Manage” option on the menu and “Categories” in the sub-menu.

You may edit existing Categories using the “Edit” action in the Categories box.

You may add new Categories using the Add New Category box when you are writting a post.

Fill the Category name in the Name box.

Add eventual Category description in the Description box.
Clic on the “Add” button below to save your new Category.

You may create as many Categories as you want and propose different classifications of your Post…
In the example above, the new Post is both : « Informations Générales » and « La Cité comme centre de ressources »

You may use the Categories menu in the right margin of your blog to select related Posts…

You may post Powerpoint slides (or slides from any other softwares) saving the slides as images.

From the Powerpoint slide you want to post, choose “Save as” in the “File” menu above.
Clic on the “options;” button…

Choose “Save current slide” option,
set size to 500 pixels large and
Quality image as “high”.
Clic the OK button

Select “jpeg files” in the Format menu,
set name structured as xxx_picturename.jpg (when your blog adress is www.sustainable-everyday.net/xxx),
and clic on the “Save” button…

Follow the steps described in the “How to upload an image?” to upload your slide.

On the Dashboard, clic on “User”.
You can access “Your Profile” and edit it…
To add users, clic on “Authors &”Users” in the sub-menu…

Fill the “Add New User” box…
The “Nickname” will be the user final login…
Press “Add User” button to save the new user…

The new user appears in the “Registered Users” box.
You must now promote him/her as Author to let him/her add content to the blog…
Clic on “Promote” in the registered user descritpion…

The user appears now in the “Authors” box…
You can change his/her “Level” clicking on the - and + to promote him/her to an upper level and give him/her more access rights.
At “Level 2″, a user is able to write and manage his/her posts.
At “Level 6″, a user is able to create new users.

Note:
_you can’t promote a new user to an upper level than yours…
_to delete an Author, you must first set him/her to “Level 1″. He/she will then move from the “Authors” box to the “Registered Users” box where you can “Delete” him/her…

On the Dashboard, clic on “User”.

You can access “Your Profile” and edit it…

To add users, clic on “Authors &”Users” in the sub-menu…

Fill the “Add New User” box…

The “Nickname” will be the user final login…

Press “Add User” button to save the new user…
The new user appears in the “User List by Role”.
You can change or delete your role in the “Update Users” if you checked your user name in the “User List by Role”.

You may upload a document on the blog that visitors will be able to download…

Use for that any FTP software (i.e. “Filezilla” for PC or “Fetch” for Mac);
Connect on the following address: http://81.246.16.10/videos
(You need the “upload password” from SEP administrator)
Upload your document in the diretory: data

Insert the following formula in the text of your post:

where “mydocument.pdf” is the name of the document you upload
and “download my document” is the text users will have to clic to download the document.

You may add an image and a short text in the right margin to identify and describe your blog.

To add an image:
- prepare an image 190 pixels large and 200 pixels high;
- save it in .jpg format with xxx_margin.jpg name (when your blog adress is www.sustainable-everyday.net/xxx);
- login to the Dashboard using the “How to login?” procedure;
- upload the image using the “How to upload an image?” procedure;

NB: if already an image with the same name exist on the server, the Dashboard signals a conflict of name.
You may just retype the your original name in the Alternate name box and clic the “Rename” button.

To add a short text:
- login to the Dashboard using the “How to login?” procedure;
- clic on “Options” in the menu and “General” in the sub-menu;
- write the short description of the your blog in the Tagline box;
- clic on the “Update Options” button below.
